Group Classes - Costs and Descriptions

 

Please bring a regular collar, 6' leash, and nummy treats to every class.  You are also welcome to bring a mat or a blanket.  The entire family is encouraged to come!  Click here for a schedule.

 


Puppy Group Classes

  • $15.00 per session 
  • Dogs 12 weeks to 8 months old
  • 10-week program
  • Punch card system (purchase what you need)
  • Can use punch card for different sessions
  • Purchase 9 sessions and the 10th session is free ($135.00.  Punch card system. You are guaranteed 10 training sessions.)
  • Each week we review what was taught the prior week

Week 1:

  • Introduction
  • Training Methods
  • Rules and Tools
  • Name Recognition

Week 2:

  • Sit with lure (treat)
  • Loose leash walking

Week 3:

  • Long sits
  • Down with lure (treat)
  • Automatic Sit

Week 4: 

  • Wait
  • Long downs
  • Crate training
  • Stopping annoying behaviors

Week 5:

  • Leave it
  • Recall/Come
  • Push-ups

Week 6:

  • LEAVE DOG AT HOME!
  • Holistic options and nutrition

Week 7:

  • Stand
  • Recall with minor distractions
  • Shaping behaviors

Week 8:

  • Daily Body Check
  • Mat
  • Recall with major distractions
  • Tips and Tricks

Week 9:

  • Settling and Calming Techniques
  • What are vaccinations all about? 

Week 10:

  • Graduation! 
  • What's next?  CGC, Agility, Tracking & more!

    Advanced/CGC Classes (scheduled as needed)

     

    Once your dog has mastered the basics, the next step would be our advanced or Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class.  In this class, you and your dog will work on advanced techniques such as off-leash training, distance work, and proofing commands against major distractions.   It's a wonderful way for you and your dog to continue working and l earning.
