Kimberly Waugus is the Shelter Director of the Dodge County Humane Society
(www.dchs-wi.org) and had been training dogs for years. She is a member of the
Association of Pet Dog Trainers (www.apdt.com), Green Acres Boxer Rescue of
Wisconsin (www.gabr-wi.com), and is a certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator for
the AKC (www.akc.org).
Kim attends seminars to advance her training skills throughout the year. Training,
for her, is as much of a learning experience as it is a teaching opportunity. Kim,
and her husband, Erick, are owned by four Boxers, Bailey, Bosco, Duke, and Kate,
and three cats, Anna, Rudy, and Tank. They have fostered a multitude of
homeless dogs and enjoy seeing them go to new homes.
Kim is available for seminars and presentations. She loves teaching people how to
teach their dogs!
Kate Derge has been working and studying with dogs for the past 17 years. In
addition to training with her own dogs, Kate has researched and studied best
practices in training and continues to seek and further her knowledge in the field.
Kate feels that training should be a positive experience for the family and advocates
involving school age children in learning about training and responsible pet
ownership.
Kate has a Master of Arts degree in Education and works as a special education
teacher. Kate is the mother of Dylan-age 6, and dogs Zeus (Rottweiler), Jazmine
(American Eskimo mix), and Zena (mixed breed).
