Dogs Do Bark! dog teaching is provided in conjunction with the Dodge County Humane
Society, N6839 State Road 26, Juneau, Wisconsin.   The humane society adopts out
over 500 dogs annually, so offering dog training classes at the shelter was natural.   We
want to have as many well behaved dogs in the Dodge County area as possible.

If you have an older dog, don't be afraid to sign up.  The myth that old dogs can't learn
new things is just that - a myth.  Older dogs are actually
easier to train!  To register or for
questions, call 920.386.0000, ext. 212.

Positive Reinforcement Family Dog Training
Now Offering A New Format - Individual Sessions
We want our dogs to behave and to learn.  Using positive reinforcement is the best way to teach them.  Positive
reinforcement training is where a reinforcer, such as a treat or praise, is given to the dog after the dog
demonstrates a desired behavior, such as sitting.  This type of training provides the best environment for learning
and the best results.  Not only will your dog learn polite behavior, but humans might learn a few things, too!
Positive Reinforcement is the key!

We have taught group classes for many years and often found the dogs were at different
ability levels.  This made teaching a challenge, so we developed a one-on-one teaching
format.  There are many benefits to this type of teaching:

One-On-One Training
Group socialization for dogs is so important, but it doesn’t provide the best learning
environment.  Our individual sessions focus soley on you and your dog.

More Owner Input
As the owner, you will help decide the training focus, lessons, and what your dog learns.

Better Chance for Learning
Dogs, like humans, learn at different paces.  Because we are only working with one dog, the
lessons are taught specifically with your dog’s ability.

Perfect For Shy Dogs or Difficult Dogs
Group settings are not the best situation if your dog is reactive or afraid of new situations.
Because we can come to you, we can meet where the problem is occurring.
