Welcome to Dodge County Canine!
Dodge County Canine (formerly Dogs Do Bark!) provides a variety of services to the greater Dodge and Columbia County areas. Our focus is on family orientated, positive reinforcement dog training, but we also do behavioral consulting and boarding. We love what we do and we look forward to meeting you and your canine companion.
You can start at any time! We want to get dogs (and owners) in classes as soon as possible, so please call to register.
We want our dogs to behave and to learn. Using positive reinforcement is the best way to teach them. Positive reinforcement training is where a reinforcer, such as a treat or praise, is given to the dog after the dog demonstrates a desired behavior, such as sitting. This type of training provides the best environment for learning and the best results. Not only will your dog learn polite behavior, but humans might learn a few things, too!
Can older dogs learn new tricks?
You bet! Older dogs are actually easier to train. Puppies have short attention spans and get easily distracted while older dogs are more focused.
Reactive and Shy Dogs
Kim and Renee have extensive experience in working with reactive and shy dogs. We use positive reinforcement techniques first before suggesting other training methods or tools. Our success rate is very high.
Group classes are available, but we hold groups classes for difficult dogs on an as needed basis. Contact Kim at 920.210.0764 to be put on a waiting list or to register for private lessons.
